Other Projects

Rockets and Fuel Exhaustion (Dynamics) | UW-Stout Research Day 2021

A physics project done by a friend and I where we thought it would be interesting to do a simple estimation of the SpaceX Falcon-9 rocket. We wanted to figure out how much time it takes the rocket to reach the end of the atmosphere, partially ignoring air resistance and curvature of the Earth.

  • Research Day Recording

  • Original Recording

Golf Ball Simulator (Dynamics)

A golf swing simulator project done in powerpoint. We took three seperate clubs, and calculated how much force we would need to hit a golf ball to a desired distance. Assumptions: Air resistance is negligble, a golf club is a simple pendulum

This Class should have Extra Credit (Public Speaking)

Persurasive speech for my Fundamentals of Public Speaking class, where I chose the unique approach to convince the professor to allow extra credit in his class. At the end of my speech when I gave it, he heavily implied that he was "upset" because he "now had to rethink his entire teaching style and curriculum".

  • The Speech (Not Uploaded)

The Knuckle Ball (Dynamics)

A physics project where we calculated how much force we would need to hit a knuckle ball into a specific area of a goalie net. We calculated it both with and without air resistance

  • The Recording

Kinematics for Bike Gears (Dynamics)

A physics project where we calculate an efficient set of bike gears

  • The Recording

Trump, Biden, and Campaigning in 2020

A political science project focusing on Trump and Biden's campaigns in 2020 and how effective they were
